At the end of the 1980s, several young actors take the entrance exam to the famous acting school created by the legendaty director Patrice Chéreau at the Théâtre des Amandiers. They are exploring life really fast, together they will learn how to act well, love to the full and live an uninhibited life. They will also experience their first true tragedy.
The beloved actress Valeria Bruni Tedeschi has had a highly successful career in both Italian and French cinema. In her fifth directorial film she pays homage to her wild youth as a student at the top-tier acting school Les Amandiers, which helped many prominent actors of Tedeschi’s generation launch careers in French theatre and cinema: Noémie Lvovsky, Agnès Jaoui, Vincent Perez, Marianne Denicourt, etc.
