Nothing breaks Gilbert’s (Johnny Depp) routine daily life. He works at the local grocery store and takes care of his younger brother Arnie (Leonardo DiCaprio), who has intellectual disabilities, and his mother, who is morbidly obese. He also enjoys his time with the much older wife (Mary Steenburgen) of a local businessman. Yet his life is about to change when lovely Becky (Juliette Lewis) arrives in the small town, travelling with her aunt.
